COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

A strong sense of community is at the heart of the work AXDEV does, which is why we believe in giving back to the community through endowments to worthy causes, programs, and initiatives. Below is a summary of the causes AXDEV has supported over the years:

 Fellowship In Continuing Health Education

AXDEV initiated a national master's/doctoral level award for students who are conducting innovative research in health education. We partnered with the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and Canadian Institute of Health Research for this prestigious award. The first two awards totalling $66,000 were given to two students for a three year period who are conducting unique healthcare education projects in Quebec and Saskatchewan.

 Canadian Cancer Society

Support for Cancer research for over five years.

 Scouts International Development Project

Support for building a school and shelters in Nicaragua as a way of contributing to community development.

Support for an educational program aimed at helping at risk youth

 Parkinson’s Foundation

Support for research in Parkinson’s disease
