The study, Unlocking Antimicrobial Stewardship Optimization Potential in Canadian Hospitals: A Mixed Methods Needs Assessment, explores enduring challenges affecting full implementation and impact of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) strategies across Canadian hospitals.

Findings highlight opportunities to strengthen healthcare professional competencies, AMS leadership capacity, organizational support, and patient education to help address antimicrobial resistance.
